At times you may want to switch from an Apple device to an Android device that is be made from a company like Motorola. Instead of having to move all your passwords manually, here is how to move all of your passwords to an Android device using a Mac that is running macOS Monterey.

As Apple takes security very seriously, it can be hard finding out a way to export all of your passwords. Luckily using a Mac can be extremely easy as long as all of your passwords are saved to your iCloud’s Keychain.

How do I do it?

  1. Open System Preferences on your Mac that is signed into the same account as your iPhone
  2. Click Passwords
  3. Enter your password used to log in to your Mac
  4. Click the three dots that is next to the add password
  5. Click Export Password
  6. Click Confirm
  7. Choose a location and name for your file to be stored.

Your passwords won’t be deleted, and they will stay in the cloud.

As long as you have sync enabled, everything will be extremely easy.

  1. Open Google Chrome and switch to the account that your Android device is logged in with
  2. Head to passwords.google.com
  3. Click the settings cog that is to the right of Password Manager
  4. Scroll and click Import Password
  5. Click select file and look for your saved file
  6. Click import once you have found it

Now soon on your Android phone, if you have sync on, will soon receive the passwords that you have just added to your Google account.
